This site was created by Nick Roberts.
I'm a video engineer and software developer based in the UK, and I created this site as a side project to learn more about client-side video generation and server-side ffmpeg processing.
It's also a handy place to give quick access to tools I use frequently, such as the Barco placeholder images.
You're free to use the videos and images generated by this site for any purpose, including commercial projects. No attribution is required, but if you do want to give credit, please link back to this site.
If you have any feedback, suggestions for new features, or if you find a bug, please get in touch.

OSCPoint is a free add-in for PowerPoint that adds OSC control to PowerPoint presentations.
It allows live event technicians to remotely control and monitor PowerPoint presentations via Bitfocus Companion - or anything else that can send/receive OSC messages.

OctoCue is a professional-grade internet clicker, suitable for the biggest shows or the smallest breakout sessions.
VFR vs. CFR
Due to browser limitations, custom videos produced on this site are Variable Frame Rate (VFR). You'll get something close to the requested framerate, but it won't be exact.
In general, this won't be an issue for many use cases, but some applications require Constant Frame Rate (CFR) clips - Da Vinci Resolve is one example.
If you need CFR clips, have some options:
Use one of the pre-built placeholder clips
The prebuilt library of clips are all CFR, so don't have this issue. However, you don't get to customize them.
Transcode your custom video using HandBrake.
HandBrake is a popular open-source video transcoder that can convert VFR to CFR.
- Open your downloaded video in HandBrake
- select a preset (e.g. "Fast 1080p30")
- In the Video tab, set "Framerate (FPS)" to your desired framerate and check "Constant Framerate".
- Start the encode
If you need frame-accurate animation, use the pre-built clips, or get in touch to discuss a custom CFR video.
